FREDERICTON — Part of northwest New Brunswick that has been under the orange pandemic-alert level will return to the yellow level at midnight tonight.

The announcement made today will put the entire province at the yellow level for the first time since mid-March.

Health officials are reporting 11 new cases of COVID-19 today: five were identified in the province and six involve New Brunswickers who are isolating outside the province. New Brunswick has 149 active reported cases of COVID-19.

Seven COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in New Brunswick, including two in an intensive care unit, while another four patients are hospitalized out of province.

New Brunswickers 40 and older are now eligible to book appointments for COVID-19 vaccines through one of the regional health authorities or participating pharmacies.

The government has released guidelines for school graduation ceremonies, which will depend on the pandemic-alert level in place at the time of events and on the operational plans of the facilities where ceremonies are to be held.
