BTS to Deliver Whole Week of Performances on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’

BTS are about to rock “The Tonight Show” for a whole week straight.

The wildly popular Korean pop group has set a weeklong special with Jimmy Fallon’s show, which will see them deliver a different musical performance each night.

Fallon will also join the boys throughout the week for comedy bits and a virtual interview. The group’s mini-residence kicks off Sept. 28, and two days later they will even serve as as “The Tonight Show” lead guest.

“We love having BTS on the show. These guys are incredible, and you just know they’re going to go above and beyond to make their performance unforgettable,” Fallon said in a statement. “Last time we had them on we took over Grand Central Terminal, so we had our work cut out for us to top that. And what’s better than one night with BTS … a full week!”

This marks the latest collaboration between BTS and Fallon, after the two teamed up for a “Tonight Show” special which saw the group take over iconic New York locations, including Grand Central Station, and perform their latest chart-topping single “Dynamite.”

Just over a month ago, the video for “Dynamite” broke YouTube records by scoring the most views in 24 hours in the platform’s history, officially topping 100 million in that time frame.

BTS made more history with “Dynamite” by becoming the first K-pop act ever to top the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks in a row. The song represents their first English-language single, and according to Spotify, it sparked a 300% increase in the number of people listening to their music for the first time.

The Fallon special will continue the marked jump in BTS appearances on U.S. TV, which recently included a rendition of “Dynamite” on “America’s Got Talent.”
