Buffalo Party Coming to Melville/Saltcoats

·2 min read

The Buffalo Party of Saskatchewan has recently attracted a movement, comparative to the starting of a buffalo herd that picks up numbers along its migration across the Saskatchewan countryside. The herd will be passing through the Yorkton-Melville constituency in the near future, at least virtually.

The party was only able to run in seventeen constituencies in the last provincial election; it has let it be known that they are ready to stampede across the province running a full sixty-one candidates for the next provincial election. To work toward the political party is holding virtual meetings across Saskatchewan.

In a statement, the Buffalo Party said to its members, “Through the course of the election and beyond, we have seen numerous messages and posts from people that wanted to vote for the Buffalo Party but they didn't have a candidate. We want you to know that we have heard you and we have seen these posts.”

“We want to assure you that this was not only a strategic decision but also a case of too little time and too few candidates coming forward as the Buffalo Party of Saskatchewan was formed only 3 months before the election. We would also like to assure you that our plan, moving forward, is to run a full 61 candidates in the next election.”

The statement reached out to members to help get more members involved at the local level. The party is planning on building constituency associations and having a convention. They plan on having a member ratified constitution, policies, and platform.

To accomplish this goal the Buffalo Parry of Saskatchewan is holding several Virtual Town Hall Meets across the province including one for the Yorkton-Melville area. The local virtual meeting is confirmed to take place on Friday, February 5th at 7:30 P.M.

Anyone wishing to participate will be to sign up with the Buffalo Party on their webpage or send a request to membership@buffalopartysk.com
