As CK Public Health hosts its last mass vaccination clinic, residents are encouraged to book their COVID-19 vaccine through their local pharmacy.
Chatham-Kent Public Health said the mass vaccination clinic at 730 Richmond St. in Chatham would host its last clinic on 31.
“Most pharmacies book appointments ahead of time, and some allow walk-ins as well,” said Alyssa Bunning, Manager with CK Public Health. “It’s a very convenient option for our local residents and one we encourage using.”
After this month, the health unit said residents can still book their vaccine by calling their local pharmacy directly or online.
CK Public Health will still be offering COVID-19 protection through various community pop-up clinics across Chatham-Kent. Pop-Up clinics currently available for both booking and walk-ins include:
• Chatham Active Lifestyle Centre – 20 Merritt Ave, Chatham, on June 3 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Salvation Army – 46 Orangewood Blvd, Chatham, on June 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Those looking to book their vaccine through a local pharmacy can find full details about a specific location online at www.covid-19.ontario.ca/vaccine-locations or by calling their local pharmacy directly.
As of May 26, more than 86 percent of the Chatham-Kent population aged 18 or older have received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. However, 57.8 percent have received at least three doses. In total, 225,228 doses have been administered in C-K.
