Céleste Lévis is releasing a new song from her upcoming French album this week.
The pop indie song, Ça Passera, will be available to listeners Friday, May 14.
“It talks about everything that’s happened in the past year and how different people deal with it. I think people will love it and I can’t wait to hear what they think,” Lévis said.
Her third French album is expected to be released this fall. Lévis said she will be filming a music video for Ça Passera this weekend.
“That’s another big moment for me. I don’t get the chance to do that with every song. The last music video I’ve done was in Timmins when I was 17 years old, so it’s pretty exciting," she said.
The Timmins singer and her fiancé Marc-Antoine Joly performed the new song for the first time at the virtual 2021 Capital Music Awards last week, where Lévis won the Virtual Performance of the Year for the Session Live Officielle Complet.
“It was the biggest project I’ve ever organized and produced. It was the most complicated because it was during COVID as well, so there were a lot of restrictions,” she recalled. “It was quite the challenge but it was definitely worth it everything and we had such a good time.”
Lévis, who was nominated in four categories, said she had the record number of nominations. She was nominated for Best Artist, Best Album for Noël tout autour, Best Virtual Performance and Best Production.
The Great Diversion band, featuring Joly, took home the Best Production and Arrangements award.
“I was really, really excited," Lévis said. "We did our best to make the night special by dressing up and listening to (the awards ceremony) on TV in our home. We were so happy."
