Calgary airport flight delays due to labour troubles in Toronto
Just to add to the frustrations of flyers this week, a labour disruption in Toronto is causing flight delays at the Calgary International Airport on Friday.
The delays affect both WestJet and Air Canada flights — including one WestJet flight from Toronto which has been cancelled.
The job action at Pearson airport involves a refueling company.
Unionized employees of Consolidated Aviation Fueling Services called in sick this morning — or refused to work overtime — because the company is losing a major refueling contract.
It has been a week of flying irritations across Canada after five WestJet flights have received bomb threats forcing unscheduled landings.
