Red Mile erupts after Calgary Flames take series against the Vancouver Canucks

It was a rough start for the Flames after the Canucks took an early lead in Game 6 with three quick goals.

But the Flames pulled it out and came back in the second.

The Canucks, however, jumped ahead again. But Flames fans weren't giving up.

Then in the third, the Flames came back and pressed until they took the lead.

Then things got a little crazy. Fans both in the Saddledome and on the Red Mile went wild when the final seconds counted down as the Flames led 7-4.

Many Calgarians on the Red Mile spread out into 17th Avenue S.W. following the victory, which prompted Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi to remind citizens to keep it clean.

Flames fans have officially taken over the street which is often the party place to be after Flames wins during the playoffs.
