Calgary police asked for the public's help locating a man they believe is connected to a Forest Lawn shooting that happened Thursday. Police say the man has since been arrested.

The man police were looking for was already awaiting trial for a killing that happened last year.

Around 7:40 a.m. Thursday, police were called to reports of gunfire in the 1700 block of 38th Street S.E. Police say a shot had been fired through the closed door of an apartment.

Police say no one was hurt.

Police say Timothy Ashton Jones, 41, is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for attempted murder in relation to this incident.

Jones is awaiting trial in the January 2020 death of Karson Goodeagle. Jones was arrested and charged earlier this year with second-degree murder in that death. He was released from custody with conditions.
