Calgary man dies from injuries sustained in Trans-Canada rollover

David Fidler, who was critically injured when his vehicle crashed on the Trans-Canada Highway west of Calgary, died this morning.

A Calgary man sent to hospital in critical condition Wednesday morning after a rollover crash along the Trans-Canada Highway has died from his injuries.

The accident occurred near Old Banff Coach Road around 8:30 a.m. MT.

Police say a 2000 Chevrolet Astro Van was being operated in the westbound lanes when the 63-year-old male driver lost control and rolled into the median.

David Fidler died this morning from injuries sustained in the crash.

"The weather at the time was poor. Snow was falling and the road surface was icy," said Calgary police in a release. "The environmental conditions and speed may be factors in this collision."
