Grab your sunglasses and slap on some Coppertone! The temperature is expected to climb to 23 C in Calgary today, with clear, sunny skies. The wind will be out of the east at 20 km/h, becoming light this evening.

More sunshine and a high of 23 C in the forecast for both Saturday and Sunday.

According to a newly declassified list from the U.S. government, Osama bin Laden had a few English-language books in his Pakistani compound when he was killed by special forces in 2011. One of those books was written by a University of Calgary professor.

The Calgary mother who says her family is being tormented by racist bullying from her neighbours says she will take legal steps if Calgary Housing Company doesn't deal with the problem. Blair France and her family live in Shaganappi Village, an affordable housing complex in the city's southwest where most of the residents are black.

Calgary police are warning people about a tax scam making the rounds in the city. The culprits pose as employees of the Canada Revenue Agency or Citizenship and Immigration Canada, threatening jail or deportation if fictitious fees or over-due taxes are not paid.
