Good morning, Calgary! It's 14 C and clear in Calgary at 6 a.m. Here's what's happening in your city this morning.

Weather

We're expecting a sunny start to the day with a chance of showers and thundershowers later this afternoon, beginning around 2 p.m. Today's high will be 23 C — but it'll feel slightly warmer with the humidity today, with Environment Canada forecasting a humidex of 25 C.

Overnight, the low drops down to 14 C. Tomorrow, it'll be mainly sunny with a high of 26 C in the forecast.

The body of an 11-year-old Calgary boy who was swept away in the Yoho River last Friday has been found. Behzad Ahmad had been on a family day trip to Yoho National Park when they say he was playing near the water and slipped in. Relatives tried to rescue him, but he was pulled away by the current. Parks Canada and Golden-Field RCMP led an extensive search for the boy. It concluded yesterday when his body was found downstream. Sultan Mahmood, a family friend, says the family is relieved to have some closure in the tragedy, and is planning a funeral.

Police are investigating after two women were hit by a vehicle in southeast Calgary last night. It happened at 18th Street S.E. and Quarry Park Boulevard. The women were taken to hospital in critical but not life-threatening condition. Police say the driver remained at the scene.
