We're looking at sunshine throughout the day today and a high of 0 C. Tonight, the low drops down to –5 C under clear skies.

Those conditions are expected to hold throughout the week with sunny, clear conditions in the long-range forecast through to next Wednesday.

We have multiple collisions to report at 7:50 a.m.

- In the southeast, there is a multi-vehicle collision on northbound Deerfoot Trail, just north of 130th Avenue S.E.

- There is also a collision on southbound Deerfoot as you approach Blackfoot Trail / 17th Avenue S.E.

- In the northeast, there is a collision on northbound Deerfoot approaching Beddington Trail.

- In the northwest, on University Drive, there is a collision just as you meet the merge to southbound Crowchild Trail.

- Also in the northwest, there's a two-vehicle collision on Dalhousie Drive at 53rd Street N.W.

Bragg Creek residents are getting their first look at flood mitigation plans for their community. Last night, officials unveiled a plan for a series of berms that would stretch two kilometres through the town along the Elbow River. Some homeowners are concerned that the berms will cut off access to the river and affect residents' views of the river. The province is committing $33 million to the project and the berms are expected to be built within the next three years.

Derek Saretzky has been declared fit to stand trial in the death of two-year-old Hailey Dunbar-Blanchette and her father Terry Blanchette, according to the girl's mother Cheyenne Dunbar. Saretzky's case will be back in court today following his psychiatric assessment. Dunbar tells CBC News that she got a call from the RCMP saying the psychiatric evaluation was over, and it was determined he'd be fit to stand trial
