Good morning Calgary! It's partly cloudy and 13 C at 8:30 a.m. Here's what's happening in the city today.

Weather

We're expecting sunshine and a high of 19 degrees today in the city. It'll be windy as well — the wind will be out of the southwest at 30 km/h gusting to 50 km/h.

Starting tomorrow, the weather will take a cooler turn — we'll see highs of 13 C on Wednesday, 12 C on Friday and 12 C again on Saturday.

News headlines

Roughly 400 Calgarians gathered last night to talk to the province's new climate change panel and offer their opinions. A report from the panel will be completed in the fall and presented to a global climate change summit in Paris in December. According to panel chair Andrew Leach, the report will have to balance the needs of both industry and the environment.

Car2Go, the city's largest car-sharing service, is shrinking the size of its operating area in Calgary. The company says the move will alleviate concerns about car availability in the city's downtown core.
