Good morning Calgary! It's partly cloudy and 5 C at 8 a.m. Here's what's happening in the city today.

Weather

You may want to pack a jacket and an umbrella as you head out the door. We're looking at a high of only 13 degrees today with showers expected to begin in the afternoon. Overnight, the temperature will dip down to 5 degrees.

This is going to begin a stretch of cool, wet weather here in Calgary — we have rain in the forecast all weekend, and highs of only 10 C and 9 C expected on Friday and Saturday.

Voters in the provincial riding of Calgary-Foothills go to the polls once again today in a byelection. This is the third election in the riding in the past year — the seat was left vacant in May when PC leader Jim Prentice stepped down immediately after the spring's general election. Twelve per cent of eligible voters have already cast their ballots at advance polls.

Blood Tribe police continue to search for whoever is responsible for a fire at Red Crow College near Lethbridge last month. Arson investigators have determined that the $11 million fire was deliberately set. The building was once home to the St. Mary's residential school, which closed in the 1980s.
