Calgary police are looking for a white Dodge Journey that is a vehicle of interest in a homicide earlier this week.

At around 5:40 a.m. on Aug. 24, police were called to Erin Woods in the city's southeast for reports of gunshots. Officers located a man with life-threatening injuries who died on the scene, police said in a news release Friday.

An autopsy on Wednesday identified the victim as Kalen "Peter" McKay, a 34-year-old man of Tsuut'ina Nation.

Police investigators are looking for white Dodge SUV that was seen in the area at the time that the gunshots were heard.

Anyone who may have seen this type of vehicle in the area of Erin Close S.E. in the early hours of Tuesday morning, or anyone who may have spoken to McKay in the hours before his death, is asked to call police at 403-266-1234.
