Calgary police say two people were injured around 1:30 a.m. Sunday in a drive-by shooting outside of the Monte Carlo bar on 10th Street NW.

A woman was struck in the head by a bullet while a man was struck in the arm, police said.

Both victims are in their early 20s, police said.

Police say the woman was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition. She has since been upgraded to non-life threatening condition.

The man went to hospital on his own, police said.

Witnesses saw a silver SUV leaving the scene, and police said it may have been involved in the shooting.
