Calgary's court opens for Law Day

Calgarians have the chance to see the inner workings of the city's court Saturday as the facility opens its doors for Law Day.

Visitors can stop by between 9 a.m. MT and 3 p.m. for the chance to see the prisoner cells, real life CSI demonstrations and a mock custody trial for the Stampeders' mascot, Ralph the Dog.

"Law Day is the opportunity for Calgarians to come down and see what happens at the court house everyday," says Law Day co-chair Cynthia Scheible. "There's a lot of myths about the legal system and this is a chance to demystify that for everybody."

Visitors will also be able to ask questions and get some advice on the legal system.

The Calgary Court House is located at 601 Fifth Street S.W.
