Calgary's musicians to be honoured by new awards show
The YYC Music Awards ceremony is releasing its list of nominees in the lead up to its first ever gala event in Calgary.
Artists in 18 categories will be awarded for their work at Studio Bell in the National Music Centre on Sept. 25.

The winner of the Zackariah and the Prophets Memorial Award will be announced on the night of the event. The award honours the former musician who was one of the victims of the Brentwood stabbing in 2014.
The Peoples Choice Award also won't be revealed until the gala.
