Cameron Diaz Has No Problem With People Who Get Botox: 'I Have Absolutely No Judgment'

Cameron Diaz may not want Botox herself, but she has no problem if you want to get it done.

"I have absolutely no judgment on what makes people feel good about themselves," the 43-year-old actress and author of The Longevity Book said on the OWN Show.

"Really, that is what those procedures are for," she added. "They're to help people feel a little bit better about themselves. If they do feel better about themselves, then those procedures have worked. I don't have any problem with that."

While Diaz acknowledges that Botox can make you appear younger -- "It does make you look like you've taken a nap...That you might be a little younger than you looked maybe the day before," she said -- she explained that people don't seem to realize they're not actually preventing aging.

"Aging is a cellular event. Every bit of aging happens in our cells," she noted. "The places that the Botox doesn't reach, you're still aging. So, it's very, very important to know what happens to your cells."

"If you really want to age well, you can manage that aging on a cellular level through the five pillars of well-being which [are] the nutrition, the physical activity, the sleep, the stress-release, the meaningful relationships," she went on. "Those are the things that truly impact aging and help you age better, and those are the things you really have to know and incorporate.

"Along with the Botox, if that makes you happy," she concluded with a smile.

Diaz previously revealed to ET that she had tried Botox, but said it made her face "weird."

"I've tried [Botox] before, where it was like that little tiny touch of something. It changed my face in such a weird way that I was like, 'No, I don't want [that].' I'd rather see my face aging than a face that doesn't belong to me at all," she said while promoting her first book, The Body Book, in 2014.

In fact, the Charlie's Angels actress has embraced her wrinkles and smile lines. "It's like, 'Guess what this means, I've smiled my whole life," she said. "I love life. I'm happy I don't have a problem with that."

Meanwhile, Diaz recently opened up about her marriage to Benji Madden and adorably gushed that she "couldn't do it without my husband." Check it out in the video below.
