Canada adds 58,000 jobs in April

Canada's economy added 58,000 jobs in April, most of them full-time, leaving the unemployment rate little-changed at 7.3 per cent as more people entered the labour force looking for work.

Statistics Canada said employment rose 1.2%, or 214,000, from the same month a year earlier. All of the growth over the 12 months was in full-time work, while part-time employment was unchanged.
