Canada election 2015: Voter's Voice in Bourassa

Canada election 2015: Voter's Voice in Outremont

Throughout the federal election campaign, Daybreak's Mike Finnerty and Shari Okeke are hitting the road to hear directly from voters as they decide who they want to form the next Canadian government.

This week, they headed out to the northern part of island check in with voters in the riding of Bourassa.

It's the riding that former Liberal MP Denis Coderre wrestled away from the Bloc in 1997 and held until he resigned in 2013 to run for mayor.

Emmanuel Dubourg won the riding for the Liberals in the subsequent byelection.

It's a diverse riding — more than 40 per cent of the residents of Bourassa are visible minorities.

It's also linguistically diverse. While French is predominant, nearly 40 per cent of residents speak a language other than English or French.

Have a listen to what these voters had to say.
