Canada election: O'Toole unveils Conservative plan to help new hires

Conservative Party Leader Erin O'Toole campaigned in Winnipeg on Friday, where he unveiled his "Canada Job Surge Plan." If elected prime minister, O'Toole said this plan, meant to assist those who lost their jobs during the pandemic, would offer between 25 to 50 per cent of the salary of new hires for six months when the wage subsidy program ends in October.
