Canada election: Party leaders weigh in on whether they’d call another snap election if they form a minority government

During the French-language debate on Wednesday, party leaders were asked whether they’d commit to “not calling another snap election” if they were elected to a minority government. Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau appeared to side-step the question, instead pointing to his campaign platform and voters’ decisions on several wedge issues. Meanwhile, Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole and Green Party Leader Annamie Paul both offered their commitments and NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh said he didn’t want the current election to begin with.
