Canada's airlift mission in Kabul ends, leaving many stranded

Canada's effort to airlift those fleeing Afghanistan after the Taliban takeover of the country has come to an end, according to Canada's acting chief of the defence staff. It is unclear how many Canadians remain stranded. Officials said they had received applications representing 8,000 people and that two-thirds of those applications have been processed.
