Allison Lang is encouraging fans to love the skin they're in.

Earlier this week, the Canadian amputee and disability advocate took to Instagram to post a travel video alongside an empowering message about self love.

In the clip, Lang, who was born without the lower half of her left leg, stood in a cobblestone street in Split, Croatia, where she is currently on holiday. She smiled and walked toward the camera wearing a white sundress, brown leather sandals, and a colourful scarf tied around her ponytail.

In the caption, the athlete and public speaker shared a story from her travels about an encounter with another amputee.

"Your unique traits make you YOU. Yesterday, I was walking through old town and this couple approached me. The man was a double amputee from Germany. We quickly chatted about our disabilities and they threw in some jokes before we parted ways. They were so nice," Lang wrote. "My point to this story, is our differences connect us to others. If I had tried hiding my leg, I wouldn’t have had that lovely exchange with the couple."

Lang went on to explain that the more she's talked about her disability, the "less alone" she's felt.

"The more open I’ve become about my disability, the more people I’ve met that are experiencing the same things in life. Making me feel less alone," she added. "Whatever it is that you’re going through, I hope that you feel less alone too."

In the comments, fans praised Lang's inspiring message and thanked her for being an "exceptional role model."

"Love this reminder!" commented a follower.

"Allison, you are an exceptional role model and someone I hope people look up to," a fan told Lang.

"You are a breath of fresh air," shared another.

"Lovely message!" wrote someone else. "And you're so beautiful!"

Last week, Lang took to Instagram to post a body positive message that encouraged fans to "rock the bikini."

In the clip, the influencer sat on a boat overlooking the Croatian waters. She smiled while taking in the picture-perfect scenery in a black bikini and a pair of oversized sunglasses.

In the caption, Lang opened up about the shame she used to associate with her body, and how she's learned to love herself.

"Don’t hide your body, you’re beautiful. I can’t believe all the life experiences I would have missed out on if I continued to hide my body the way I did when I was younger. Younger me would have made an excuse as to why I couldn’t join friends on a boat or a beach day by the water. But not because of what my friends would think of my body, rather what strangers would think of my disability," she penned. "Please don’t miss out on life experience. Say yes and rock the bikini. You’re perfect the way you are. Differences and all."
