Canyon County Sheriff’s Office identifies homicide victim killed at campground near Parma

Two 16-year-old boys were arrested and booked into Thurston County Juvenile Detention on June 6 after robbing a gas station convenience store at gunpoint near Capital Mall in Olympia.

The victim of a homicide at a campground in Canyon County has been identified.

Travis Haywood Calumpit, 37, of Parma, died from a gunshot wound Friday at the Martin Landing campground, which is west of Parma and close to the state line with Oregon, according to a news release from the Canyon County Sheriff’s Office.

The investigation is ongoing and no further information will be released at this time, authorities said.
