The Grammys have given us plenty of memorable red carpet moments over the years and tonight, Cardi B added another major look to the list.
The rapper showed up dressed as a human pearl in an oyster shell gown. The instantly-iconic look is an archive piece from Mugler Couture's Fall 1995 collection. Featuring a pearl headpiece, matching necklaces, and belt, the dramatic blush pink and black gown was ideal for striking many FASHUN poses down the entire red carpet-which Cardi of course did.
The vintage look was first worn by Simonetta Gianfelici for Mugler Couture nearly 25 years ago. Rewearing it tonight, Cardi kept the original design completely in tact-wearing everything from the pearl accessories down to the pink opera gloves.
Oh, and along with the incredible gown, she also brought recently-estranged husband Offset with her too. In December, Cardi took to Instagram to announce she was separating from the rapper. But if their red carpet kisses tonight are indication, it appears the couple has patched things up and is officially back together.
When asked if there was any chance of reconciliation with Offset in her March BAZAAR cover story, Cardi answered both, "I don’t think so,” and “Who knows? You never know, you can never tell." It looks like the latter was the more accurate answer for these two lovebirds.
