Late TV presenter Caroline Flack has made her final onscreen appearance in Michael Winterbottom's film Greed.

Caroline tragically took her own life last weekend, a week before the satirical feature-film was due for release (February 21), in which she now posthumously appears alongside Steve Coogan and Isla Fisher.

The 40-year-old played a character who hands over a cheque to Coogan's Sir Richard McCreadie, announcing: "Now time for the man you've all been waiting for... the king of the high street."

Coogan has spoken about Caroline, whilst appearing on BBC Breakfast yesterday (February 21), saying the news was "tragic" and that his "heart goes out to her loved ones and her family".

He continued: "There are lots of issues that are raised by it. I am sure you have talked about that – to do with social media, to do with the press, to do with the discourse that takes place specifically on social media, and also to do with the way the press behave."

"I certainly think that, really, the problem with social media is that people don't see the whites of the eyes of the person they are talking to, so they behave in quite a reprehensible way."

"You can wax lyrical about it all but I just think people need to step back and question how they behave, question how they talk to each other", he added. "We can disagree with each other but we don't have to be disagreeable."

Greed, which premiered at last year's Toronto International Film Festival, takes aim at the ridiculousness of wealth and centres around Coogan's billionaire fashion mogul, who's celebrating his 60th birthday on the island of Mykonos.

Meanwhile, after the news broke, fellow TV presenter Maya Jama was just one of the many celebrities who shared a response to the loss of Caroline.

She wrote on Twitter: "So so devastating. Can't believe I'm writing RIP Caroline Flack, she was an amazing woman and always someone I looked up to in our line of work, She gave me advice on how to handle trolls & papers writing bullshit multiple times and I can't even imagine how she would have felt.."

Greed is available to watch in cinemas now.
