Carrie Fisher reveals why Princess Leia and Han Solo split up

One of the key revelations from the recent ‘Star Wars’ movie appeared to be that since getting together in ‘Return of the Jedi’, Princess Leia and Han Solo had split by ‘The Force Awakens’.

No honeymoon period for us, just the awkwardness of an estranged couple embarrassed by the dreadful behaviour of their now-distant son Kylo Ren.

But why did the pair split?

Carrie Fisher has broached the subject, and its the same old story of a galactic smuggler just not willing to settling down.

She appeared at the Saskatoon Comic & Entertainment Expo, and was happy to dish on what wne wrong between them.

“He smuggled way too much,” she said.

“And girls, I know you don’t want your husband smuggling, do you?

“Hanging out with the hairy guy [Chewbacca] too often. I think there are a lot of problems with that.

Jeez, Chewie is involved too?! Hope he wasn’t named on the divorce papers.

“He wouldn’t take me on the hyperspace thing enough,” she added. “That’s a euphemism.”

And not a spectacularly subtle one, either.

Sadly, it’s now all too late for any kind of reconciliation with the stuck-up, half-witted, scruffy-looking nerf herder now.
