Catherine Galliford's son one of three accused in teen slaying
One of the three men charged in the slaying of a Vancouver teen has been identified as the son of high-profile former Mountie Catherine Galliford, who is suing the RCMP for sexual harassment.
Twenty-one-year-old Connor Campbell was arrested last month and is charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of Nick Hannon.
Campbell's friends Bradley Flaherty and Keith Tankard have also been charged with first-degree murder.
Catherine Galliford confirmed the relationship to The Canadian Press on Sunday.
"Yes, he is my son," she said when reached by phone. "I know the three young men who are in jail and I care about all three of them deeply."
Galliford was the RCMP's public face for some of its most high-profile cases, including the Air India and Robert Pickton investigations.
Provincial court records show that the trio are expected in court on Monday to face the allegations.
