Celebrity chef’s modern steakhouse set to open this week in SouthPark Charlotte
Charlotte’s new modern steakhouse, The Fox & Falcon by David Burke, opens this week in SouthPark.
The restaurant is located in the former Dogwood: A Southern Table location in Sharon Square. Dogwood closed August 26.
“I am thrilled to open another restaurant in the Charlotte region, especially in SouthPark. Charlotte’s vibrant culinary scene continues to impress me, and I’m excited to be part of this dynamic community,” Burke said.
The Fox & The Falcon is just one of many local hot spots under the celebrity chef, who is no stranger to the Charlotte area culinary scene. Burke has recently taken over Port City Club in Cornelius and another Lake Norman concept, G.O.A.T. Pizza, is also on the way.
He was also the force behind Red Salt by David Burke and Cloud Bar by David Burke in uptown before closing them in August to focus on The Fox & The Falcon, CharlotteFive previously reported.
“We are committed to fostering a lasting presence in Charlotte and look forward to seeing the many friends we made at Red Salt at our other locations. Charlotte’s enthusiasm for the culinary arts aligns perfectly with our passion, and we are thrilled to be a part of its journey,” Burke previously said.
The newest restaurant is designed as an elevated modern steakhouse that reflects a reinvention of classic and new American cuisine and includes a craft cocktail menu.
At The Fox & Falcon’s soft opening beginning Thursday, Sept. 28, you’ll be able to order from Burke’s signature menu, which features elevated American cuisine. You can order a Tomahawk steak for two, lobster dumplings, and of course, Burke’s famous clothesline bacon.

Southern Fried Oysters – pimento cheese, pickled shallots ($22)
Burrata Cheese & Burnt Orange Salad – beets, pistachio pesto, green beans, balsamic reduction ($20)
Octopus & Chorizo Tacos – black olives, piquillo peppers, lemon ($17)
Sea Scallop “Benedict” – country ham, potato pancakes, quail egg, truffle hollandaise ($20)
32 ounce Tomahawk steak for Two ($145)
8 ounce Wagyu Sirloin ($90)
Prime Dry Aged 21 ounce Ribeye ($69)
Roast Duck Breast – duck sausage cornbread waffle, jus, cranberry and kumquat jam, red and yellow sweetie drop peppers ($39)
Halibut T-Bone – ratatouille vinaigrette, artichoke puree, basil oil ($48)
There are also plans for Burger Night, a bar bites menu and live music.
