Nailing it! Season 2 of HGTV's “Celebrity IOU” will premiere on HGTV Dec. 14 (9 EST/PST), and we can reveal four of the new guests who help renovate homes for special people in their lives: "This Is Us" star Justin Hartley, Oscar-winner Allison Janney, "The Office" alum Rainn Wilson and "New Girl" actress Zooey Deschanel, the girlfriend of co-host Jonathan Scott, one of the twin Property Brothers.
Jonathan and Drew Scott help stars pay back those who have affected their lives with home renovations, and when the show debuted in April, a newsboy-cap donning Brad Pitt helped give his longtime makeup artist Jean Ann Black a multi-use guest house/workspace. Melissa McCarthy, Viola Davis, Rebel Wilson, Michael Bublé and Jeremy Renner also signed up to give back to the cherished ones in their lives.

This isn't the first time Deschanel and Jonathan Scott have worked together: They met while taping an episode of "Carpool Karaoke" in August 2019.
For "Celebrity IOU," Deschanel sets her sights on the home of her longtime friend, a selfless mother with two kids who works as a therapist.
“'Celebrity IOU' is so full of heart and just the kind of feel-good energy we all need right now,” Jonathan says in a statement. “The idea of giving back resonates with everyone – and, for us, working with these incredibly thoughtful celebrities is so uplifting.”
Before the series' launch, he gave his endorsement of Deschanel as a potential celeb in an interview with USA TODAY.
"Let me just say, she is one of the kindest, sweetest, caring people I have ever met in my life, and so you’ll just have to wait what happens for a Season 2," the television host said at the time. "But I can tell you that she has all of the attributes of what we were looking for in these celebrities who want to give selflessly to somebody else in their life."
Drew says the celebrities are just as committed to getting in on the action in Season 2.
“In Season 1, we were blown away by how hands-on each celebrity was, and Season 2 is no different," says Drew Scott. "Everyone is so dedicated because they’re doing this for people they love.”
Drew previously marveled at the celebs' willingness to get down and dirty during April's interview.
"They all wanted to use the power tools, they all wanted to smash through walls," he recalled at the time. "Nobody was just saying, 'Oh, go renovate it for this person.'"
