Central Michigan wearing decals in Potato Bowl to honor Dick Enberg

Central Michigan will honor one of its most famous alums during Friday’s Potato Bowl.

The Chippewas will wear a decal that says “Oh my” in honor of longtime broadcaster Dick Enberg, who died Thursday morning at 82.

A native of Michigan, Enberg graduated from Central Michigan in 1957 before getting his graduate degree at Indiana. Enberg, who is likely known most to sports fans for his NFL and tennis coverage, last was the announcer for the San Diego Padres’ television broadcasts in 2016.

Central Michigan plays Wyoming in the Potato Bowl. The game kicks off at 4 p.m. ET on ESPN.
