How Charli D'Amelio, Bryce Hall and More TikTok Stars Have Responded to the Black Lives Matter Movement

The country is coming together in the fight against inequality. In cities across the map, protesters are lining the streets and demanding change. Those who are unable to protest are donating, speaking out, and making a difference any way they can. Celebrities, meanwhile, have paused their regular programming of promoting projects and doing interviews to to stand alongside so many others in support of the Black Lives Matter movement and TikTok stars are no different. Using their platform to spread the word, many of your favorite dancers, lip synchers, and Hype House members are speaking out against hate and racism. While some are out there marching others are taking advantage of their large followings to share links and information. Here's a look at how your favorite TikTok stars have supported the BLM movement.

Charli D'Amelio

Charli has been sharing a lot of links and information on Twitter, but she also posted a TikTok expressing her thoughts on the movement.

"As a person who has been given the platform to be an influencer, I've realized that with that title, I have a job to inform people on the racial inequalities in the world right now," she said. "How come when it comes to the color of a person's skin their treated differently? A man was killed. His life was ended. 'Don't kill me,' George Floyd says as his last words. His life should not be over and his name needs to be heard. George Floyd, a father and a person. A human who lost their life because of the color of their skin. We, people of all colors need to speak up at a time like this...We all have a voice. We need to stand up for what is right and stick together."

David Dobrik

David protested in Santa Monica on Tuesday and he shared his experience on Instagram. "Yesterday I attended one of the protests in Santa Monica," he wrote. "Feeling the energy of fellow humans demanding to be acknowledged, heard and respected was OVERWHELMINGLY impactful."

The YouTuber also shared that he donated $50,000 to various organizations furthering the movement, including The Innocence Project, Color of Change, the ACLU, Unicorn Riot, and the Black Lives Matter Global Network.

Nikita Dragun

Nikita joined protests in LA over the weekend, going live on Instagram while marching.

She also shared that she donated $3,000 to the Minnesota Freedom Fund.

Madison Beer

Madison Beer joined protests in Santa Monica over the weekend where she was teargassed. She shared a photo on her Instagram story, warning others protesting in the area.

A photographer took a picture of Madison at the protests, and many started criticizing Madison, believing she payed him to take them, but the photographer later denied those claims.

"There’s rumors spreading around that I was hired by Madison to take pictures of her at the BLM March yesterday," the photographer wrote in an Instagram post. "These rumors are 100 percent untrue. I was taking pictures at the event and ran into Madison while also marching at the event. Since she’s a celebrity I decided to take take pictures of her. I’m a free-lance photographer and have been to the event all 3 days and I’ve ran into her all three days, I just happened to have bring my camera yesterday."

He also mentioned that Madison has "been to to the protests three days in a row and has probably marched and been at the event longer that any other celebrity."

Jaden Hossler

Jaden has been very vocal on Twitter, sharing his support for the movement and sending his thoughts and prayers to those protesting. He also shared a list of sources for those interested in donating.

Bryce Hall

Bryce has been tweeting a lot about the movement. Following the news that Jaden Hossler and Josh Richards were leaving the Sway House, he urged fans to focus more on BLM than their hiatus.

"I know the boys are leaving," he wrote. "But don’t worry too much about it, there are way bigger things going on in the world right now and all we should be worrying about is that. Spread love and be safe in these terrible times."

He has also shared numbers to call in the case of an unlawful arrest while protesting.

Avani Gregg

The Hype House member has been very active on Twitter, sharing petitions and posts regarding the movement. She also shared her $800 donation to the Minnesota Freedom Fund on Twitter.
