Charlottetown's North River Road closed for paving

Final paving on North River Road Wednesday

A large stretch of North River Road in Charlottetown is being shut down for paving Monday.

The street, a major north-south thruway in the city, will be closed between Capital Drive and Beach Grove Road, with a detour in place.

Summer Street between Queen and University will also be closed for work Monday, and there is one-lane traffic only on Eden Street between University and Upper Prince.

Outside of the capital, provincial road crews will have Route 257, the Donagh Road, closed east of the Higgins Road Monday and Tuesday. Detour and signage will be in place.

The Inverness bridge replacement project on the Western Road, Route 2, begins Monday. There will be a temporary bypass road in place until early September.
