Grande Prairie and area residents will have more reasons to travel soon as the budget-friendly Flair Airlines will begin flying out of the Grande Prairie Airport.
The low-cost airline will be offering direct flights to Vancouver and Toronto beginning in August.
“We are excited to have been chosen the Peace Country’s first ultra-low-cost airline service, and we look forward to strong support from travellers,” said Brian Grant, CEO for the Grande Prairie Airport.
Service to Vancouver will begin Aug. 1 with service every Wednesday and Sunday.
Service to Toronto will begin on Aug. 4 with service every Wednesday and Saturday.
Grande Prairie is the 20th destination served by Flair Air as it grows its network across Canada.
Flair plans on using a Boeing 737-800 aircraft and is Grande Prairie’s first direct service to major domestic centers outside of Alberta.
