Chiefs' Chris Jones Needed ‘Extra Material’ for “Real Full Monty” Thong Because ‘the Man Is Massive,' Anthony Anderson Says
The Chiefs defensive tackle stars alongside Anderson and others in the upcoming Fox special
Anthony Anderson shared a hilarious fun fact about Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones — and the thong worn by the NFL player in the upcoming Fox special, The Real Full Monty.
On the Nov. 27th episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, Anderson — who promised he and his costars will be "stripping buck naked in front of a live audience" when the two-hour special airs on Dec. 9 — revealed that Jones, 30, is so "massive" that the wardrobe team needed to make special alterations to his thong.
"I think they had to bring in extra material or some kind of strange material for his thong. I mean, the man is massive. He’s massive," Anderson, 54, told hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos.

Jokingly clarifying his description of "massive" Jones, Anderson said, "I mean massive in height and weight, that’s what I’m talking about. Get your mind out of the gutter."
The event, inspired by the Oscar-nominated 1997 film The Full Monty, will also be executive produced by Anderson. James Van Der Beek, Taye Diggs, Tyler Posey and longtime Dancing with the Stars judge Bruno Tonioli also star.
The highly-anticipated striptease was choreographed by Mandy Moore. "[Moore] had a time on her hands putting up with the six of us," Anderson joked on the show, teasing that when "the first beat of the music plays and we’re on stage and the lights pop on, we are shimmering and shaking."
According to Fox, The Real Full Monty will follow the six men as "they train and rehearse for the most revealing performance of their careers, culminating with a big strip-tease dance, choreographed by Emmy Award-winner Mandy Moore, where they will bare all in front of a live audience."
"Leading up to the final disrobing, the men will push their limits of comfortability, modesty and brotherhood with a series of rehearsals and experiences, both private and public, designed to build confidence and remove them far from their comfort zone and strengthen their bond as a group," the network said.
Anderson told Ripa, 54, and Consuelos, 53, that while the striptease gets the audience's attention, the real message behind the television special event is to "bring awareness to cancer in men so men can go to the doctor and be evaluated for testicular, colorectal and pancreas cancer."
"That’s a great way to bring awareness," Ripa quipped, before Anderson added, "Yeah, just get buck naked out there and put it in your face."
