Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes reveals birthday gifts he got from Travis Kelce, Rashee Rice
While Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes turned 29 years old on Tuesday, friends and family celebrated his birthday on multiple days.
Mahomes’ wife, Brittany, the KC Current co-owner, hosted a party for her husband following the Chiefs’ 26-25 win over the Bengals at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. Judging by photos from the soirée shows a good time was had by all.
While doing his weekly radio guest spot Tuesday on 96.5 The Fan, Mahomes was asked what presents he received. Mahomes revealed gifts from Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and wide receiver Rashee Rice.
“I haven’t got my present from Brittany just yet, but she says it’s going to be cool. So I’m excited for that.” Mahomes said. “Travis got me a Louis Vuitton golf bag. So that’s going to be sweet. I don’t know how much I can use that on the golf course, but it will be nice to have. And then Rashee got me some cool shoes. So I’ve got some cool stuff so far.”
Mahomes and Kelce are close friends, and both are among the best to ever play at their positions in NFL history. The Chiefs stars also love to show off their fashionable sides, so it’s little surprise to hear Kelce shopped for Mahomes at Louis Vuitton.
The Louis Vuitton website shows a golf bag available for $22,600, which is considerably more expensive than a bag from say, Callaway or Ping.
The Fan’s Carrington Harrison asked Mahomes if he ever could have imagined just how great his life has turned out. Mahomes has generational wealth, helped the Chiefs win three Super Bowls and has twice been named the NFL’s Most Valuable Player.
Additionally, Mahomes married his high school girlfriend and they have two children with another expected soon.
“It’s been a whirlwind. I mean, just the life that I’ve had, I’ve been blessed, and so I just try to enjoy it,” Mahomes said. “Like I said, it goes by fast, and you want to enjoy all these little moments, especially with your kids.”
