Child porn arrests in Spain linked to Toronto

Twenty-eight people have been arrested in Spain for alleged ties to an international child pornography network headquartered in Toronto, police say.

The investigation began when Interpol told Spanish police in April about the network, which operates in both Europe and Canada.

On Sunday, Spain's Interior Ministry said videos were created by abusing minors io Ukraine, Romania and Germany.

Three websites sold the videos and distributed them in 94 countries, netting an estimated income of $1.6 million a year.

Ten other people in Spain have also been charged in addition to the 28, according to the ministry.
