Chilver Road fire causes $115K in damages

Multiple announcements of broadband internet funding criticized as waste of money

The cause of a Chilver Road fire that left 7 people homeless and caused $115,000 in damage has been ruled as undetermined.

Flames broke out about 2 p.m. Friday on Chilver Road, north of Assumption St. in Windsor.

The fire originated near a heater in one of the bedrooms and caused $75,000 in damage to 319 Chilver and about $40,000 in exposure damage to 309 Chilver.
