Chocolate Slices Are Like Cheese Slices, But Better

image

Obviously chocolate is the best thing ever and as it’s Christmas it’s an excuse to eat all of it - but now it has just got even better than it was before, if that’s possible.

Some bright spark in Japan has invented the chocolate slice - which is basically like your standard cheese slice, except it’s chocolate.

They are even wrapped up just like a cheese slice but these aren’t invented to put on burgers (or maybe they are, if that kind of thing floats your boat).

The slices are from the geniuses at Bourbon, who are offering them up online - although you’ll have to buy 60 slices at a time.

Don’t blame us, those are the rules and if you have to buy chocolate in bulk then that is just the way it is.

Chocolate for all occasions: The slices are certainly versatile (Bourbon)

The website describes them as “full-bodied deep, melting in the mouth smooth ganache” and they have a thickness of 2mm.

And the fact they are in slices has opened up a whole new world of chocolate goodness as it makes it easier than ever to just dollop them on everything.

Handily, the Bourbon website even gives you a few ideas - like melting them on banana sandwiches and pancakes - and even putting them inside a sweet version of a wrap.

Here’s some of the things we will definitely be trying in the next few weeks:

Pancake goodness: No more breaking up chunks to awkwardly melt (Bourbon)

Convenient: Simply placing the chocolate slice on bread makes the best kind of sandwich (Bourbon)

Sweet wrap: Like something from KFC - but with chocolate (Bourbon)

Arty: We doubt we’ll be able to manage creating flowers out of slices TBH (Bourbon)

Sadly, they are already sold out (of course they are) so you’ll have to keep hitting ‘refresh’ on your computer like it’s Glastonbury ticket day.

But for around £18, you can have chocolate. Lots and lots of chocolate.
