Chris Hemsworth and Brian Tyree Henry Have ‘Epic Candle Blowout Race’ in Honor of New “Transformers One” Movie
The two actors stepped out for the film's New York premiere earlier this week alongside costars Scarlett Johansson, Keegan-Michael Key and Steve Buscemi
Chris Hemsworth and Brian Tyree Henry are celebrating the release of their new film Transformers One in a fiery way!
The pair of actors competed together in a “candle blowout race” against the hosts of Australian YouTube channel How Ridiculous to promote their new film — which is the latest in the Transformers franchise.
In the video, the Thor: Love and Thunder star, 41, said he was “ready” to start before he kicked off the competition against host Derek Herron by putting out a set of candles in a line with a fire extinguisher. He then dropped the fire extinguisher to switch to a leaf blower, putting out even more candles.
“Hemsworth and Herron — they’re neck in neck,” a commentator could be heard saying as the pair moved to blow out candles using their breath. Hemsworth then passed the torch to his teammate Henry, 42, who fanned a large cardboard square to blow out another line of candles.

The Eternals actor took over the lead as they went over to their final challenge: using water blasters to put out several stacks of candles. “Who’s going to take it?” the commentator questioned, as Hemsworth went over to help his costar put out the candles.
The How Ridiculous team appeared to put out all the candles first and ran over to the final candle, blowing it out and ultimately winning the competition. “We win,” the How Ridiculous hosts cheered triumphantly.
The Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga actor then jokingly sprayed the winners with his water gun and yelled out, “Noooooo!” The video ended with Herron telling viewers to go “give” Transformers One “a watch.”

The video comes a few days after Hemsworth, Henry, Scarlett Johansson, Keegan-Michael Key, Steve Buscemi and the other stars of the Josh Cooley-directed animated feature walked the red carpet at the film's New York premiere.
The film chronicles the origin story of Transformers main characters Optimus Prime and Megatron and how they went from being friends to sworn enemies, changing the fate of Cybertron forever. It is a prequel to the movie series that began with Michael Bay's 2007 film Transformers.

The film’s director, Cooley, previously revealed that Hemsworth recorded his role in the new animated film from the comfort of his home in Australia — though not without challenges.
"All of Chris' recordings were done at his house. So I would travel all the way to Sydney and record there, which was really fun," Cooley told PEOPLE.
"He got a great place and his kids would come running into the room occasionally and he'd be like, 'Oh, hold on, let me get lunch for him,' or whatever it was,” he added. "But it was great. It was so super chill and he's a phenomenal, a great guy."
Transformers One is now out in theaters.
