Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger reveal newborn daughter’s name: ‘We are beyond thrilled’
Chris Pratt and his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger have revealed the name of their newborn daughter in an emotional statement.
On Monday, the Guardians of the Galaxy star shared a photo of the couple holding their daughter’s hand on Instagram, where he wrote: “We are beyond thrilled to announce the birth of our daughter, Lyla Maria Schwarzenegger Pratt.
“We couldn’t be happier. Both mom and baby are doing great. We are extremely blessed. Love Katherine and Chris.”
The 41-year-old also shared two Bible verses, with the first reading: “The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.”
The second verse, Psalm 127:3-4, discusses the blessing of children.
“Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward,” the psalm reads. “Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.”
Schwarzenegger also shared the photo and statement on her own Instagram page, where her mother, Maria Shriver, commented: “So happy for you. Lyla Maria is so blessed to have you both as parents, you are going to be an amazing mama you already are !!!”
Also among those sharing their will-wishes were fellow celebrities Zoe Saldana and Josh Gad.

“Welcome to the world Lady Lyla!” Saldana wrote. “May your path be blessed with grace and joy always! we are so happy for you guys! Sending you so much love.”
Gad commented: “HUGE CONGRATS!!”
The couple’s introduction to their newborn daughter comes after Schwarzenegger’s brother, Patrick, confirmed the news of the birth on Sunday.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the actor said: “They’re doing great, just got her a little gift.”
