Chrishell Stause, 39, shares bikini 'thirst trap' with important message: 'Worth a shot!'

Chrishell Stause wants her fans to vote — in more ways than one.

On Friday, the actress posted a bikini photo to Instagram with the hopes of inspiring her followers. “True that thirst traps help encourage voting? Worth a shot!” she wrote.

However, the Dancing With the Stars competitor doesn’t just mean Election Day on Tuesday. “Warm up your right to vote on Monday by texting Chrishell to 21523 10x during @dancingabc 8/7c & at abc.com,” she wrote. “THEN vote or drop off your ballot Tuesday if you haven’t already! Go to vote.org to find your polling center (Too late to mail in! It needs to go in an official ballot box.”

Fans appreciated the message and photo choice. “Great use of a thirst trap,” one said, adding, “got my vote.” Someone else wrote, “Best DWTS contestant ever. I’ve loved voting you up all season long!” Another commented: “Damn. I’ll go vote right now I promise.”

Stause’s strategy is one that has been employed by many celebrities to encourage voting. Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian West, Lisa Rinna, Zoe Kravitz and more have all shared scantily-clad social media images with important messages about the upcoming election.

“Celebrities definitely have a role to play and help us to meet voters where they are at, especially young voters,” Vote.org CEO Andrea Hailey told Yahoo Life. “Not every young American is politically active, so sometimes it takes a celebrity reminding them why their vote matters and the power voting has in deciding issues that matter to them.”

Though Stause’s DWTS plug is certainly a first.
