Ever since Chrissy Teigen and John Legend announced that they're expecting their third child (they already have Luna, 4, and Miles, 2), we've been experiencing levels of excitement parallel to if it were a member of our own family. Of course, in true Chrissy style, the model and author has been very generous with sharing updates with her fans along the way – recently she uploaded a super cute video her getting a scan (complete with help from Luna) and opened up about how she worried the pregnancy wouldn't survive to full-term.

Continuing to speak candidly, yesterday Chrissy posted a series of videos to her Instagram Stories discussing some health issues she's been experiencing, which include being put on bed rest due to having a weak placenta. Poor thing.

"I wanted to update you... my placenta sucks. That's always been the bad part of my pregnancies, with Luna, with Miles it just like stopped feeding him, stopped taking care of him... I was like stealing all his food because I was getting huge, but he wasn't get big at all, so he had to come out early," she begins. "And Luna had to come out early."

Chrissy then, seemingly without meaning to, accidentally reveals that she's expecting a boy. "Anyways, it's super weak and it's so weird because the baby is really, really healthy and he's big, he's probably gonna... Oops!" she says, before trailing off having realised her admission. It's such a sweet moment, as she then claps her hand over mouth! And thankfully, she goes on to explain that she's being well taken care of.

As for the gender reveal, it seems like Chrissy is pretty comfortable sharing the news with her 31 million followers, as she captioned that particular clip 'hahaha might as well tell you' and followed it up with, "I'm stupid. Anyway, it's growing beautifully, everything is good and I'm feeling good, but my placenta is really, really weak."

She adds that the pregnancy is "high risk" and that she's "bleeding a lot", so has been put on "complete bed rest" while her placenta "gets healthy again". Importantly, not wanting to worry anybody either, Chrissy also says, "Oh and just because pregnant people, all we do is worry, if you're bleeding [and pregnant] you're probably just spotting and a lot of pregnant women spot – either way, talk to your doctor, always let them know that you're bleeding." Which we'd very much like to echo: if you're pregnant and have any concerns whatsoever, don't hesitate to book an appointment with your doctor or midwife.

It sounds pretty tough, so we're sending Chrissy our very best wishes (and of course a massive congratulations on the soon-to-be new addition to the Legend family!).
