Chrissy Teigen Reminisced About Being on ‘Deal or No Deal’ With Meghan Markle

Chrissy Teigen went on Ellen on Monday, and true to form for Ellen DeGeneres, she had a few tricks up her sleeve. Between testing Chrissy's knowledge of her husband's career with a "You Don't Know Jack About John" quiz (which lead to more than a little embarrassment for the model), Ellen also got her talking about her pregnancy. Chrissy revealed when her second child, a son, is due and the way she and John came up with older sis Luna's name. The social media queen also talked about that time she shared a screen with soon-to-be-royal Meghan Markle on Deal or No Deal. (This was a very information-packed interview.)

For the latter, you have to rewind all the way back to about 2007, when the world was a different place: no one had any inkling that there would be a "President" before Trump's name, nor were we aware that a very nascent Twitter would soon explode into a cultural force. Of course, a world without Chrissy on Twitter seems barely imaginable anymore, but there was one place you could find her: on Deal or No Deal—with Meghan. Both of them happened to be "suitcase girls" on the show, with Meghan in 34 episodes from 2006 to 2007 and Chrissy on eight from 2007 to 2008. Those halcyon days are something that Chrissy seems to be hanging on to, probably especially because Meghan's now engaged to, well, a prince.

"I tell John all the time: 'That could be me. I could be Princess Harry,'" Chrissy said.

Fun fact: She and Meghan reunited in 2014 to compete on DirecTV's Beach Bowl.

Regarding John's career, apparently he and Chrissy keep work and life very, very separate—which probably makes sense when you're an A-list couple with two very busy and/or stressful work lives. Hence the hilarity that ensued when Ellen sprung the "You Don't Know Jack About John" quiz on Chrissy. For example, Ellen asked which 50 Shades of Grey film John did a song for, and Chrissy had no idea he'd even done a song for the franchise. But when a few career-related questions stumped her—to be fair, she got lots of personal questions right!—she explained why.

“This is a big fight we always have," she said. "He doesn’t tell me about things he’s producing. We went to Sundance and he was like, ‘Oh, we’re showing my movie’ and I was like, ‘Your movie?! What are you talking about?!'"

Teigen also told DeGeneres that yes, she's still struggling with what to name her forthcoming son, younger brother to almost-2-year-old Luna. "Boy names are really tough," she said, also revealing that he's due in June. "And I don't think it will have a middle name because we can't even think of a first name."

Ellen's helpful suggestion? "Urban Legend."

Chrissy also shared how she and John came up with Luna's name—and it's adorable: "There was a blood moon happening. It was a very beautiful night, really big vivid red mood and just gorgeous. I have a love for space. I think about space camp all the time and my days at space camp as youngster. And so I thought Luna was just perfect."

And that concludes your Chrissy Teigen update for today.
