Chrissy Teigen Shares Photos of Her Family Dogs Through the Years: 'My OG Babies!'
The model and cookbook author has “always been a basset lover,” she says
Once a dog lover, always a dog lover — at least if you’re Chrissy Teigen!
On Saturday, the Cravings cookbook author, 37, shared a sweet post dedicated to her family dogs throughout the years.
Teigen began the post with a throwback photo of herself and her mom, Vilailuck "Pepper" Teigen, with a childhood dog, and ended it with a mirror selfie she took as a kid, in which a cute pup pokes its head in the corner of the frame.
"My OG babies! (always been a basset lover 🥰),” Teigen captioned the post. “Give me all the dogs!!”

Between the throwback pet pics, the model also included photos of her current dogs.
In several snaps, Teigen poses with her current basset hound, Pearl, whom she and husband John Legend adopted as a puppy in 2021.
"I grew up with Basset Hounds so I can't wait for John to see this bouncy, no-bones, Jell-O mold of skin grow into the stubborn logs of love I love so much," Teigen wrote on social media at the time. "Excited for this new little heart to add love to our home."
The former Lip Sync Battle host also shared a photo of herself enjoying some kisses from another one of her pooches, Petey, and a picture of her three-legged French bulldog, Penny, snoozing on the couch.

Legend, 44, also made an appearance in the pup-heavy photo dump, posing for a smiley shot with another one of the couple’s furry friends, Pebbles.
The model and singer adopted gray-haired Pebbles in January 2022, and Teigen introduced him to her fans with an adorable post.
Alongside an adorable photo of the pup, she wrote, "Thank you for introducing us to this little bug, @jenatkinhair and @mrmikerosenthal! she is perfectly sweet and adorable and I *think* perhaps the best cuddler in our whole house.”
And while Pebbles is as cute as she can be — and quite small — she is also a fierce protector, Teigen revealed at the time, explaining that the puppy has helped her daughter, Luna, 7, overcome her fear of "bed monsters."
"She came to us with the job of protecting little luna from bed monsters and I'm happy to report there has not been a single one seen (heard? no idea) since her arrival!," Teigen wrote at the time. "Give this girl a raiiiiise honey! welcome to the family, tiny little pebbles! (And thank you for trusting us with her, @pawworks 🙏🏼 thank you for all you do!)"

Penny and Petey joined the family in 2014 and 2020, respectively. Shortly after adopting Penny nearly a decade ago, Teigen told PEOPLE, “She’s a little tripod. She has been abused, and we are so excited to welcome her to the family.”
Petey, on the other hand, arrived to the stars’ household in 2020 with a little help from Ellen DeGeneres, who used social media to shed light on eight rescue puppies who needed families to take them in.

Upon seeing the talk show host’s post, Teigen and Legend looked into adopting one of the puppies, and their hearts were stolen by Petey — who they named after the parakeet in Dumb and Dumber.
“Thank you @theellenshow and @wagmorpets for making us aware of this adorable little rescue family,” the model wrote on Instagram at the time. “This little guy grabbed our heart first and will hold onto it forever!”
In addition to being proud dog parents, the couple are also parents to four not-so-furry babies, Luna, Miles, 5, Esti, 10 months and Wren, 5 months.
