The HGTV star — whose estranged husband Josh Hall filed for divorce in July — took a  “girl’s trip” with her friends Stacy Evatt and Robyn Purpero and posted some highlights from their time together on Saturday, Aug. 3.

In her first Instagram Stories post, Christina, 41, shared a snap of a striking white house set on a pretty lawn. “How dreamy is this?” she wrote, adding a heart drawn next to the caption and tagging her two friends.

Next, she posted a cute photo of the three friends standing on a deck together in front of a small boat that sat in the river behind them.

"Much needed girls trip. 41 is so good," she wrote over the photo. Though Christina didn't note where the friends had visited on their trip, she revealed that they'd been having a lot of fun together, as her next Instagram Stories snap showed the trio in an ornate-looking room in the middle of some antics.

As Christina lay on the floor laughing with one of her hands resting on her forehead, her two friends looked animated as they stood to one side of her.

"When its been a really good last night," she wrote over the fun image.

Christina’s posts from her trip come the day after Josh, 43, broke his silence on their divorce with a post on social media on Aug. 2 where he said he would "not publicly badmouth anyone" amid the split.

“I prefer privacy, especially during something as life-changing as a divorce I did not ask for,” Josh began the caption of his post.

He continued, “I will not publicly badmouth anyone as people have families, friends and others who respect and love them. Unfortunately, the internet is forever. We are real humans, this is our life and I am not here to entertain people I don’t know with my private matters. Those details will be handled fairly behind closed doors with our respective counsels in due time.”

"Those who know each of us, know who we are," Josh concluded his message, which was posted alongside an image of him resting his head on his dog, Stella.

According to documents obtained by PEOPLE on July 16, Josh filed for divorce from Christina, citing "irreconcilable differences,” following nearly three years of marriage. In his filing he requested spousal support, though in her own filing on July 24, his estranged wife requested that neither of the two receive spousal support and detailed the properties she owns solely and the ones that are shared with Josh.

Christina also alleged in an ex parte motion alongside her filing that Josh had made some underhand financial moves, claiming he instructed a property manager to transfer $35,000 in rent payments from two rental homes she owns in Tennessee to his personal bank account one day after she had told him, on June 7, that she wanted a divorce.

In legal documents obtained by PEOPLE, screenshots are included of text messages allegedly showing Josh making the request for the money to be transferred to a different account.

A source close to Josh claimed to PEOPLE at the time that, "Josh requested the property manager's payment because he handled all of the bills for their rental properties,” and further claimed that Josh is co-owner of the two properties. However, Christina's filing claims both "are entirely my sole and separate property,” and deeds obtained by PEOPLE indicate that both of the properties referred to in the filing were bought by Christina and her personal trust.

As well as financial issues, the former couple has been engaged with some back and forth on social media. In addition to Josh's Aug. 2 comments, Christina recently hit back at her ex on social media after he posted about "hope" amid their divorce.

On July 31, Josh shared a photo of a sculpture spelling out the word “hope” on his Instagram Stories along with a praying hands and blue heart emoji, prompting his estranged wife to share the image on her own Instagram Stories on Aug. 1, adding a message of her own that included a direct reference to Josh.

“I ‘HOPE’ she pays me millions more than what she’s already offered me,” Christina wrote alongside the image, appearing to refer to financial issues from their divorce. As well as the same praying hands emoji, she also added a money emoji to her post.

The following day, a source close to Josh told PEOPLE that his “hope” post had not been intended as a reference to the former couple’s divorce, rather that he had taken the snap at cancer treatment facility, City of Hope, during a visit to his "sick best friend, who is a cop with a terminal illness."

The source added that the blue heart Josh had posted represented the profession of a friend of his, and noted that "this post had nothing to do with Christina.”

A source close to Christina then told PEOPLE that she "had no idea that he was at City of Hope" and had believed him to be in Nashville.

The Christina in the Country star previously responded to Josh's Instagram Stories in the wake of their divorce announcement. When Josh made his first post on social media since the news broke, a snap of him taking a walk in the woods with a praying hands emoji on July 25, Christina posted a photo of herself smiling to the camera while wearing a black strapless top just hours later. Like Josh, she only added the praying hands emoji.

Despite the back and forth with her estranged husband on her social media, on Aug, 3, Christina also shared what appeared to be a professional photo with her three children, celebrating her love for them.

"My little loves 🩵," she captioned the shot that showed her with son Brayden, 8, and daughter Taylor, 13, whom she shares with first husband Tarek El Moussa, as well as 4-year-old son, Hudson, shared with her second husband, Celebrity IOU: Joyride host Ant Anstead.
