Christmas gift theft suspect caught on tape ID'd
Halifax Regional Police believe they have identified a man caught on video stealing a family's Christmas presents just days before Christmas.
Police said the homeowner returned home from work on Dec. 19 and realized someone had broken into their home.
Video surveillance showed a man walking in around 11:20 a.m. and leaving shortly after with wrapped gifts, electronics and collector coins.
Police credit investigators and tips from the public for tracking the suspect down. They said they expect to have the man in custody soon.
