Cirque du Soleil raises big top tent ahead of Kurios show

Cirque du Soleil raised its signature big top tent ahead of the grand opening of its new show in Toronto.

Kurios: Cabinet of Curiosities opens next week on August 28, and preparations for the show are now well underway.

On Thursday, the crew raised the company's signature blue and yellow tent at Toronto's Port Lands.

The show will try to challenge viewers' perceptions of reality.

The creators want people to leave thinking, "Is it real, or just a figment of my imagination?" according to the show's website.

Actors will be performing Kurios in Toronto until October 26 at the venue on 51 Commissioners St. A regular admission ticket for adults ranges from $60 to $155.

After its Toronto stint, the show will head to San Francisco and Seattle.
